Some places leave a different impression, and for me that was Istanbul. From the moment we arrived I went into that space.

Perhaps it was the wholesome warmth of our hotel’s welcome; or the sensory assault – the bright colours, the competing aromas, and lively hustle from vendors at the spice markets the next day; or the reverie you slip into when you are privy to the very private rituals openly performed in preparing for prayer at one of the mosques. And then there’s the evening cruise on the Bosphorus – a personal highlight. Impressive architecture shaped by history lining both sides of the river, informed with stories that capture your imagination on how Istanbul became what it is today. All of this inspired me to create this limited curation of pieces sourced and curated while I was away.
